MacPorts で selfupdate エラー
MacPorts をインストールしました。MacPorts は Mac OS X でソフトウェアパッケージを効率よく管理できるツールです。MacPortsをインストールして、ソフトウェアリストを更新しようとしたところ、以下の様なエラーとなりました。
$ sudo port selfupdate
Warning: No index(es) found! Have you synced your source indexes?

Error: Synchronization of the local ports tree failed doing rsync
Error: /opt/local/bin/port: port selfupdate failed: Couldn’t sync the ports tree: Synchronization of 1 source(s) failed

調べてみると、「rsync://rsync.macports.org/release/tarballs/ports.tar [default]」という設定があり、
rsync.macports.orgとrsyncというプロトコルで通信するのだとか。
確かにルーターのログを見ると、TCP 873ポート を拒否したというログが出ていました。
Connection Refused – Policy violation (Default policy)
TCP 192.x.x.x:10000->17.251.224.58:873 on ixp1
内部から17.251.224.58（rsync.macports.org）限定で、rsyncdのポート番号873への転送を「許可」したところ、無事にselfupdateが完了しました。
$ sudo port selfupdate
